CHROMATOGRAPHIES OF THE SELF

Chromatographies of the Self is a project both for the research of natural pigments from the Iberian Peninsula and for artistic production and collective art.

I use the conceptual metaphor of Human Chromatographies. Soil chromatography is a test that allows us to see the amounts of organic matter, microorganisms and minerals in the soil to see how fertile it is. Based on this test, I have created this Human Chromatography exercise, as an artistic-anthropological exercise.

The workshop will start with a centering exercise, to then answer some important and transcendental questions. Afterwards we will translate the answers of our test with natural colors, through a tie-dye exercise. At the end of the workshop participants will have the opportunity to play freely with fabrics, colours and different tie-dye designs.

Hopefully this experience shows us where we start from to transform some aspects of our lives, in the direction of a more coherent, integral and connected life with the whole of reality. Chroma is designed for all those people who are interested in creativity, playing with natural and eco-friendly materials and discover new forms of expression.
